For those whoāve been consideringā¦. The Kindle Colorsoft has a major manufacturing defect. Not sure if itās hardware (likely) or software (nah) but itās annoying. If you can check the screen out in-person before purchasing, I suggest you do so. Or buy from a reputable dealer that offers a no questions asked return policy, like Amazon or Best Buy. (Look at the yellow streak along the bottom of the reader just above the bezel.)
@amarand I have a paperwhite signature because my oasis started draining so I traded in. I miss the Oasisās page turn buttons very much, but no other complaints for the paperwhite. Iāve been horribly tempted by the scribe though, ngl.

Note that Iāve owned my Oasis since it came out and the only issue is (expected) battery life degradation. Other than that, itās been perfect. I wanted the Colorsoft to be perfect too, but it clearly isnāt.
