A week ago today I pulled a muscle in my shitty neck, trying to brush my hair. I got orders for PT and I am slated to start PT the week kiddo returns to school. I am also seriously thinking about getting a haircut. But I’ve been waffling on chopping my hair for months. But I’m bitter that I was doomed to so much pain just trying to brush it. But also… this is the longest it’s been since before my last neck surgery.

@MotherDucker Maybe consider keeping the overall length and doing layers? Like a butterfly cut or something to work with your curls?

@MotherDucker

I'm the wrong person to ask, when my hair gets a quarter-inch long, I have it buzz-cut back to a sixteenth.

You're probably not up for a "monk cut", although it's one heck of a time-saver.

@MotherDucker
cut 4 inches off. It would still be long but manageable

@JanetZumba_FalPals @MotherDucker I agree. A few inches off would help keep your hair healthy and manageable.

@MotherDucker Gorgeous hair but do what you want and what would make you happy. You can do a little bit to see if you are happy with before doing more. Don't want you to cut then be upset. But some people are immediately happy with something else.

@MotherDucker You could just thin it out a bit and trim off just a few inches; it will still be long but a little lighter.

@MotherDucker

Some layers to bounce up the curls ... and 4 inches shorter, approx.
