What dystopian, apocalyptic or post-apocalyptic novel gave you hope, not despair?

@MotherDucker The MaddAdam series by Margaret Atwood, funny enough.

@MotherDucker Nearly anything by Becky Chambers (otherscribbles.com/) Octavia Butlers Earthseed Duology, "A Half Built Garden" by
Ruthanna Emrys searching under the my also surface other works

@MotherDucker I love dystopian/Sci Fi/ speculative fiction so much, it doesn't really make me feel despair. It's escapism to me.
Scott Sigler is one of the new authors I discovered first through podcasts, and Peter Clines.

@Blue_Skyesr_here @MotherDucker I agree with the sentiment that dystopian lit is totally escapism. I liked the Divergent series for this especially, and the Unwind series heads that direction, albeit a little less strongly.

OH DEAR. THIS POST WAS SET TO SELF-DETONATE 💣 💥 🔥
