I said that I would try not to say mean things about Joe Biden until after the election.
If I see people gushing praise at him, at this point, I'll not be able to resist saying something.
So you might as well mute or block me if you want to talk about what a great guy he is.
Look at this mess. If he did such a good job, we wouldn't be in it. He spent more time working with Republicans than for us.
...
@AskTheDevil I made similar statements and got hushed and scolded because what did I want- the other guy? Joe walked on water, apparently.
@AskTheDevil indeed. They too have overlords, and a penchant for doing the bare minimum, but to point it out is an invitation for rebuke and abuse. They have followers who are passionate in denial.
@MookyTroubadour We need to change minds.
People keep thinking doing what they already did will somehow have a different result.
Humans and other apes learn through repetition.
So I will keep repeating until people listen.
Courage is not just fighting a guy with a gun. It's also being willing to see where you've misjudged, or been fooled, or fooled yourself!
@MookyTroubadour I have even seen the Democratic party turn on anyone even slightly progressive or out of lock-step with them and help _Republicans_ take their seats to keep them from changing anything.
Because if they fucking won, they might be expected to keep promises. So they've tried keeping things close to a deadlock, and when they can't, there's always a convenient "maverick" like Sinema or Manchin, or Lieberman to make sure nothing gets done.
They were staying in office, not working.
