If you go to a wedding in a Christian church, often the priest will wrap the couple's hands with their stole (scarf). That act is taken directly from pagan hand fasting tradition.

I’m not much of a wedding guy- I send a toaster and well wishes, and go do something else. I don’t really do ceremonies of any sort.
