Just in case this helps someone: a family I am very close with had a terrible last half of 2022. Husband laid off in August, wife stuck in a nowhere job, young adult daughter dealing with some issues.

In the first 10 days of 2023: husband got an offer of employment with a higher salary than last job. Starts on the 16th. Wife got an offer from a new company with advancement opportunities and higher salary. Starts on Feb 2nd. Daughter is enjoying college and on a better path. It does get better
