Skimmed it. Lots of back & forth— guess I didn’t get the gist.

@Mj_Osa Just saw this. Here's the thing: libraries are part of a larger institution (school district, university, museum, city or county, etc.) and the Board that hires the Director often knows nothing about running a library. So in this case it seemed they picked a terrible (but probably charming) candidate who then rejected the job after the choice got bad press like this article.

@FirstAmendmentGirl Oh . . . that makes sense. You would hope that Library boards would have people who are *at least* sympathetic towards libraries and have some experience with them. It's a lot to hope for, I know . . . .
