@altamaha Hearkens back to the late 60s. We didn't have metal-influenced stuff, but more folk music-type music. The old folks didn't like it and wanted a more traditional church. Very controversial. Cost the minister his pulpit. Odd times.

@altamaha Protestant United Church of Christ ( Congregational ). Liberal-leaning. the problems were more a reflection of change vs. stability. The real problem was that there wasn't really a need for upheaval. The minister wanted it. He against the church board didn't work out well for him. Sanity returned.
