Years later he established a small Holocaust museum in Huntington Beach, CA and was portrayed by actor Leonard Nimoy in TV-film of his story 'Never Forget.'

Mel Mermelstein passed away yesterday from COVID complications at the age of 95. He is survived by his wife, four children, five grandchildren and a great grandson.

May his memory and strength always be a blessing and inspiration to us all.
