Not to get my hopes up too much, but Rich may actually be discharged today after 2 weeks (?) as a guest in the ICU. The clinicians and technicians and case managers have been incredible. Of course, they have been dangerously overfed with pizza, cheesecake, sandwiches, and donuts everyday. 🤞

Aaaaaaaaaaand....nope. This experience is like no other, and I work in healthcare. Thought I had seen it all. Possibly 2 more days. Authorization for home equipment was faxed to the wrong number 5 days ago. How, why, what, just wow. But now I need to trust the process....what was I doing since 10/14/24 when the equipmentwas originally considered?
He's in a safe place, and I'm out of meal ideas for the staff.
