Pajamas and underclothes are not for public wear.
Tell me I'm wrong.
@MelissaHDavis Social standards about dress are established by the consensus of a culture. There was a time when people thought women should not wear pants and saw such as inappropriate.
When I was growing up, one did not wear pajamas out of the house either, and its not something I'd do.
Walking through an airport recently it seems that the cultural consensus has left me behind.
Becca, I went to an ultra conservative all girls high school. I was sent home because my skirt was to short 1 day. No pants allowed. A few months later I almost got fired from my part time job because i stopped in to pick up a book I had left behind, wearing slacks. I got suspended for a week.
@MelissaHDavis I will wear my pajamas to the airport, I will wear my pajamas to the store, and you can't tell me not to. ;)
You don't have to, but I'm gonna. I won't get stopped by TSA in my pajamas and flip-flops, whereas if I wear jeans I'm going to forget something in my pockets and be miserable taking off my shoes in the middle of the airport.
@MelissaHDavis People can wear what they like or what they’re able to. Someone could’ve just had surgery. One never knows so one shouldn’t judge. 🤷🏼♀️
@MelissaHDavis I got a pair of pjs for Christmas and yes, wore them to the antique shop.
