I bought some assorted chocolates with today's grocery pickup. I planned to cut small openings in the lid, to make myself an advent calendar, so that I'd eat only one piece per day.

I took out the cutting board and an Xacto knife, and drew outlines on the inside of the box. And then...

The box was open, the pieces were right there in front of me. I could smell them. The labels said what the fillings were. Too much temptation!

🙄 :trollsplat:

Glad I got two boxes of chocolates!

I Will Cut The Advent Calendar Holes In The Empty Box Lid And Use It On The Second Box Of Chocolates. I Will Tape It On To Discourage Cheating. I Will Eat Only One Or Two Per Day. Or Three.

🤪

(What I really should do is to draw outlines on the top of the new lid, tape it shut, and only cut the hole for one piece at a time (per day.) And put the Xacto knife away each time, so I'll have to go get it the next day.

These are how I trick myself into not eating (another) whole box in one day.

Done! I poked a hole over each piece and taped the lid down. Numbered each hole to allow one piece per day starting on 10th and finishing on 25th.

I’ve convinced myself that this will work! Lol!

@Mathias Ummm... thanks??? (Did you read the first post in this series, where I ate the whole box one afternoon?) I need to manage my "self control" with tricks and duct tape! lol!
