The Last Rose of Summer is a true story in thinly veiled fiction.

It's about that time I discovered a cheap, nontoxic cancer drug that might help a lot of patients. A multinational drug company got involved.

Spoiler: it ends badly. Any drug discovery ends badly if doesn't want it to happen.

I didn't shut up about it like I was supposed to.

When autocorrect changes the word to duck. It is okay. Still fowl language

Katie Porter and Amy Klobuchar have written the DOJ and FTC about apparent price fixing by Big Pharma.

Prices on two major blood thinners, Xarelto and Eliquis, have gone up year after year in lock step, suggesting that the manufacturers are violating anti-trust laws and ripping off Medicare-- and seniors with Part D, who have to pay a percent of the price.

This is one to watch! I'm so grateful to Porter and Klobuchar for their work to hold Big Pharma accountable.

Like my 68 year old neighbor, Dr. Fauci finally got Covid after two years of tight precautions and four doses of vaccine.

My neighbor, thank God, is fully recovered after just staying home with symptoms like a bad cold. There's every reason to hope that Dr. Fauci will do the same.

That was the point of all the precautions that MAGA is mocking over on Twitter: we delayed my neighbor getting Covid until he had the help he needed to beat it.

Thank God we listened to Fauci.

Everyone knows that a cancer diagnosis can be financially devastating as well as life threatening. Big Pharma's propaganda maintains that high drug prices are essential for innovation.

It's a lie. That money isn't going to innovation.

Big Pharma doesn't even tolerate innovation when they encounter it. My book is a true story: I discovered a cheap, nontoxic cancer drug and a drug giant suppressed it.

I don't know who needs to see this, but it's true in writing and everything else.

Maybe Coinbase could sell an NFT for the "i" in their name and rebrand as conbase, thus providing an accurate name and protecting their few remaining customers.

I won't say Twitter is without its redeeming moments.

Here's Moscow Mitch stepping in horse crap at the Kentucky Derby in 2017.

My cousin called last night, and they’ve been a little down with everything thing going on; they decided to pick themselves up by trying to reach out to others and offer what they can.

Meanwhile on Twitter...

Twice so far *just today* I have seen normally reliable blue check accounts, people I respect, flub real vs parody tweets.

There is no longer any reason for embarrassment in this. It's gotten so hard to tell parody from reality, literally nobody bats a thousand any more. 🤷‍♀️

I've concluded that Twitter is the Dark Side and I have come over to the Light Side here.

Never underestimate the power of the Dark Side to make you regret your choice to check in!

I'm learning to love some vegan products I thought I never could! 🎶 I get by with a little help from my (already vegan) friends. 🎶

You haven't missed that CoSo has

Thank you to all of the who have poured their heart and soul into doing their best in the most difficult circumstances for our children.

This little feral goofus showed up before a major snowstorm in February. I borrowed a trap and took him for Trap/Neuter/Release, except releasing him wasn't feasible due to the cold.

He now lives in my guest room and is coming around to me. He's shedding his entire winter coat in there and I can't vacuum because it would scare him. 🤷‍♀️

Also, Mary Austin is a pseudonym. I was willing to put my real name to my book-- "It's the truth" is a valid legal defense-- but my publisher's lawyers weren't feeling like "come at me bro" quite as much as I am.

They required me to change all names, including mine, as a condition of publication. I signed the contract agreeing to that, so I can't reveal my name or location here.

Still, the content either adds up or it doesn't. This is science.

My Amazon reviews are positive, and I am grateful for each one of them. I do want to caution that some of them, while grasping the crucial message of corruption, mischaracterize some of the science.

I did not apply traditional Chinese medicine principles; I respect TCM, but that is not my background.

I also am not claiming a cure, but a very promising drug which was suppressed because of undue influence from .

It happens a lot. Just most people don't go public.

Special "thanks" to the Sackler family and Pharma Bro for showing the nation the kind of depravity that's normal in .

Without them, I would not expect anybody to believe the events of my book.
