as a trans person I'm worried about publicly presenting as myself. where I live should be safe, but I'm not 100% sure. I hear the stories of trans people getting harassed and assaulted for simply being themselves.

@Kaysymmetry I'm approaching that point in my transition and while I'm not publicly presenting yet, I've been out many times. While it can be hard sometimes, most people don't even look at you.
It can be tough sometimes when you come across a person like that, but stay confident and don't give them the time of day!
