This has to STOP!!!!!
It isn't even October yet.
@MariaAragon64 I send this a few days ago:
A few years back (like, 20ish) we were at a 24 hour WalMart. At the stroke of 12 AM on Sept 15, they started bringing out the Christmas trees.
@kismatt
Argghhhhhhh!
@MariaAragon64 if I remember correctly, Sam's had the halloween candy out alongside the 4th of July decorations.
@kismatt
That's just illogical. Candy does have a shelf life and the summer heat is bad for chocolate candy.
@MariaAragon64 lol. that candy isn't for halloween, it's for all of us obese Americans to eat before Labor Day
@kismatt
First of the chocolate holidays.
@MariaAragon64 I work for a printer, and we're already started on the Valentine's Day catalogs for a certain unnamed chocolate candy co (think....sampler)
@kismatt
Well, that actually makes sense. Some things have to be planned and done so they're ready to roll. Just please, don't send them out till January???
@MariaAragon64 LOL we don't mail 'em, we just print 'em. It's the tail end of Calendar Season, too
@kismatt
But I've noticed they don't release those fabulous Reese's pumpkins until we get close to or into autumn. If it's too warm, they melt like crazy. That's why you won't find them in vending machines in the summer: they become soup.
@MariaAragon64 what cracks me up are the Christmas shows taped in LA, with the fake snow on the ground adn don't look at the palm trees in the background... lol
@kismatt
Kind of reminds me of this action film that came out in the 90s with Kurt Russell and in the beginning Steven Sagal. There was a long shot of a plane landing/taking off at Andrews Airforce base in Maryland and low and behold...palm trees and S. Californian smog. Ooops.
Apparently, they were filming a holiday commercial in that mall, but you know they'd throw that stuff everywhere as soon as they could get away with it. The retailers already are.
