the whataboutism was a weird deflect, tho. lynchings, rapes, slavery, apartheid, jim crow, systemic racism...denying people care when they're pregnant so they die from treatable complications...you think this nicer than what the russians are doing to the ukrainians? wow.

Yeah, I deflect to the larger picture quite often. Just puts our problems into context, and serves as a warning that if we don't start finding common ground with our fellow citizens, then our nation will be too busy fighting ourselves to be able to identify and defend ourselves from the demented thinking minds that want US all dead.
