@Anouk Amen! Years ago, I met General Wesley Clark when he was considering a run for the White House. He asked me what I thought Democrats should be doing differently, and I replied that we should show our patriotism proudly and not let Republicans “own” the flag. I fly my flag proudly; it was a gift from my mother who came to America from Nazi Germany. She became a naturalized citizen and a passionate campaigner and voter.

Agreed, Mikster brought up putting up a flagpole in the yard as part of our landscaping changes...

It set me aback just thinking about flying the US flag.

Back in the 80’s my dad & husband built a tall flag pole in his backyard. Both were vets & honored the flag deeply. My dad raised it every single day.

I wonder how they’d feel now.

For the last decade, WE have allowed the GQP to ravage the White House, the Capitol, the Constitution, the laws of the land and the Supreme Court.

Forgive me for holding my breath waiting for US to recapture America.

@LnzyHou @Madken65 @Anouk I’m not going to blame the American people for the criminal gerrymandering and voter suppression and disinformation that the GOP needed to get in place to stay in power. Eliminate the electoral college and institute ranked choice voting. THEN see what’s reality the will of the people.
