There's times it feels like I'm the only fan of The Boomtown Rats. I know it's not true. It kinda feels like being an XTC fan as well. People know who they are because of one or two songs. But don't really know a lot about them.
@JohnRadcliff Boomtown Rats not so much - although I thought In The Long Grass was pretty good. XTC absolutely a fan, since Big Express. I literally walked a mile in a snowstorm to buy Oranges and Lemons.
@MPCavalier Fine Art of Surfacing was the album that made me a fan. The day I really got into XTC, I dropped acid for the first time and during a downpour, a friend cranked English Settlement...I was sold after that. Every time I hear the beginning of Runaway I'm transported back to that porch with the rain in the background and the crack of that drum hit.
