can someone explain to me why the UAW has a chapter that represents post-doctoral scholars and researchers? I don't see the connection. Thanks for any info.

Yeah of course but why are they in the UAW?

@MPCavalier Probably because an awful lot of those folk end up doing research and development for aerospace and automobile companies.
