We didn't have a Passover seder this year. We usually try to do "something" but this year was just impossible. But before we sat down to matzoh ball soup last night, I gathered my kids and told them, basically - you are half-Jewish, that does not define your allegiances. What defines you are your principles. Be a good person. Do good things. Think good thoughts. That's being a good jew. And if anyone tries to force your allegiance based on your Jewishness, tell them to read a fucking book.
