🎧 Genya Ravan, "Urban Desire". This is how things go. I have a poster from a show I hosted in 2013 which featured Cheetah Chrome (Dead Boys). Then I'm "thinking wow I haven't listened to Dead Boys in forever". I put on "Young Loud and Snotty" and I couldn't remember who produced it. It was Genya Ravan, who had a career of her own in the 60's and 70's. So now I'm listening to her brilliant 1978 release. It's a great garage pop record. Totally new to me. That's how things go.

Thank you - ran out of room!
@MPCavalier She has a monthly show on Little Steven's Underground Garage, channel 21 on SiriusXM.
@LiberalLibrarian
Yeah she plays all unsigned garage rock bands. Very cool.
@LiberalLibrarian
I knew who she was - I remembered seeing her name in CREEM magazine and the Village Voice back in the day - but I never paid any attention to her music career. I guess I always thought of her as a "punk rock personality". But this album is really great. The things we discover when simply staring at the wall.
