Time's Arrow is a book by Martin Amis about a life we experience in reverse (with super macabre themes when we go back through a major war that way).
So my joke was that it's dangerous to invoke the term "time's arrow" willy nilly; if Amis's version played out, it would put LL's attempt to get to the end of his workday in jeopardy, because he'd be going back in time instead.
