My mom. ✨
Yeah, it would be so lovely to see her. Her mind worked somewhat like yours seems to. Penetrating, broad + detailed, informed, able to apply one system of thought to a seemingly unrelated area of need, and suuuuper smart.
But while she had a muscular intellect & curiosity, she was equally lacking in the ability to cook. I think she just didn’t particularly care. Which was fine by me.
What a beautiful summary of a human you knew so well and love so much, not "despite" her weaknesses but rather, as the full, complex person she was.
Thank you so much for sharing this memory of her with me. I feel richer at heart just knowing that she walked this earth, and that her memory lives on in you.
