Okay, today's mountain fire is more dangerous. Started on a built-up property, accounting for the range of cloud smoke. Firefighters zipped out, but we'll see what else is set alight soon enough.

This one is 100% human made. The fire started on a build site.
We're still on the drier side of things, so it could spread with the wind easily. They wear themselves out in the cooler night, most of the time - but this one's got an ugly smoke plume, so I'm glad firefighters are already on hand.

Them thar hills look pretty dry to me (but it’s been 13 years since I was last there)
The part you're seeing burned in December - still recovering! But there's plent of lush green around it. It's definitely still a dry season, but the firefighters are doing a great job.
