πŸ€— If anyone lives in a place where they don't have friendly encounters with neighbours when they step outside, please take a greeting:

1) Off to work? The energy rolling off you is *incredible*. I hope it carries you through a wonderful day.

2) Hey! That is a smashing colour on you. The fabric looks super comfortable, too. Rock on, you stylish beast.

3) What a gift to see your face again! It's been a bit, hasn't it? Hope everything's going great with the fam--and say hello to your dog for me!

@MLClark lol

my neighbours would side eye me if i said any of that to them.. but we usually greet one another and chit chat..

Each community has its flavour! One classic is to grouse about the weather together. Or I suppose one could always prop an elbow on the dividing fence, sigh at one's nextdoor neighbour, and leap right into "Have you seen the news today? White people, am I right?" πŸ˜… ...And see where that takes the conversation instead.

πŸ€— Seriously, though: the important thing is the simple act of connection, so I'm super glad your neighbours are of the "greeting" sort. How good for all your hearts.

@MLClark πŸ˜„ i think it's always been this way here.. people talk so i don'think anything of it until someone says something.. like you just did.

@Museek

I have to thank a fellow CoSonaut for reminding me to lean into gratitude re: how much I get to chat with neighbours, after feeling invisible himself in public. It's so easy to take so much for granted. Thanks for sharing your slice of the world. πŸ€—
