Morning, CoSo. π«
I woke up so early and so refreshed. Gave my highly impulsive sibling, halfway across the world, a crash course in teaching English to A1s (absolute beginners), and...
Now I'm going to take another day for the novel. SO CLOSE to ready! Then tomorrow I'll return to other forms of prose.
I had to restructure the tail end, which means I have revisions to do after the last drafting, but ideally this can be on to my beta reader by week's end. Then to my agent by mid-Jan? π€ #Soon
This one, I'm hoping my agent will like and take to the traditional presses again. There was a lot of heartbreak when Children of Doro got turned down by all the big publishers - though with high praise for worldbuilding and writing. That loss was somewhat to be expected, though, considering the Dostoevskian voice. This one has more direct action and opens a trilogy, so I really hope it will prove more "marketable" to a big publisher. A fickle process, though, so we'll see! π€π»
