On my walk today I heard a street busker play an instrumental version of Despacito on violin, which is the closest my heart has come to laughing in a long, long while, so there is that.

Home again now - and back to work. ๐Ÿ‘

While I was miserable in Canada and dreaming of escape, I'd run most every day to the river to watch the dawn, and listen to an album of Spanish music from around the world, tripping over the words, trying to get the syntax of the tongue.

Despacito may have been overplayed, but it was one of my training songs, & I can't hear it without thinking with some gentleness about the last time I really believed that change was in my control.

I feel very old remembering that optimism now. ๐Ÿ’™
