Humans are messy, especially when it comes to faith. There are those where faith is about culture, and there are those where faith is about a devout and devoted life to what they earnestly believe.
Where they intersect, they can clash. We are seeing this in churches all over the us, right now.
Both are ways to live, and everyone that is sapient has the choice as to how they will conduct their life, what they may value, and what they are willing to risk that life for.
