Starting the writing day with a reminder that James Joyce made a heap of errors when publishing. Be like Joyce. Choose joy in language and its attendant cultural chaos over pedantry. 💛🍵

@MLClark James Joyce didn't have an army of armchair critics posting real-time reviews of his work where they gave him one star because a missed typo hurt their feelings. 🤣🤣🤣
Hello, amazing person. Great advice! I got a new desk, so today is all about a cleansing to create the positive zen vibe I need to get me in the zone. 😊🙏
Hope you have a productive day, while also taking time to enjoy the beauty around you. 💞
@MLClark Finding errors in Ulysses would be a challenge!
It's a great episode! It sifts through printer errors, notes the anachronisms (accidental and intentional), highlights places where it wasn't error so much as Joyce growing with the work, and marks the actual "howlers".
A lovely reminder that literature can and should be a rich adventure. :)
@MLClark @TheresaVermont I look forward to listening, but as I recall, Joyce was going blind and Samuel Beckett was typing whatever Joyce said, including interruptions like whatever Joyce may have said to someone at the door, and when the typescript was read back to him, Joyce decided to leave all of that in.
@MLClark My editor refers to my errors as her job security.
I dare not take that away in this economy.
I'm a job creator!
^_^
Good morning groovy soul!
