I have had a rough day, and I still have two more pieces to send out tonight - but I see and am so truly thankful for your presence with the heartbreaking news last night.
I'll say more later, but sometimes the work comes first - and sometimes the work is healing, so there's that, at least.

I was thinking of you and came to discover your truly heart-breaking news. The death of a child is beyond awful to process. This child’s death lands even harder—after seeing the family struggle, helping the father get back on his feet as his other child was fighting for life.
I am so sorry for thé father, the surviving sibling, and for you—the loving and determined friend who worked so hard to help them in an overwhelmingly indifferent context.
