I think I shall never not be a little bit scared when I send out a story, no matter how many sales I have under my belt. There's always a deep fear that *this* is the one that'll make editors realize I've been a sham of a writer all this time.

Keep doing the things that scare you - so long as everything's consensual, and nobody gets unduly injured in the process!
Your writing is so good. And one of the reasons why I like it so much is being able to perceive your well endowed brain at work behind it, whether it’s through turn of phrase or gathering up and weaving together ideas. I also appreciate how you demonstrate connections between ideas - that I didn’t see coming! - which creates a scope beyond what I usually experience reading in journalism.
So, please tolerate those uncomfortable Imposter Syndrome feelings (or delete) and keep writing!
