"Humanitarian aid ‘impossible’ as fighting in Sudan traps millions"

This is always my nightmare news headline. Strife happens, but when we can no longer directly intervene with aid? That's when a whole other level of terror descends.

Médecins Sans Frontières still seems to have a local site in operation for now. Please support them and look for other groups aiding those in flight.

185 dead, 1800+ wounded in 4 days.

Holy fck.

@BosmangBeratna At least 185 - UN suspects the death count is already much higher.

That region has seen little but sorrow and strife for generations, because we do not do enough in the lulls between active combat to stabilize these wounded states. We could have done so much better by this region in recent years.

@MLClark

What the West foists on the global south is beyond criminal. Modern day colonization doesn't require pogroms or succession. Modern day sappers wear suits and neckties, and garner profits for a slimmer hegemony.

Have to admire efficiency. Right before a through, systematic dismantling.
