I went down a rabbit hole when I discovered Obsidian Wire mods.

They involve all the normal parts: capacitors, resistors, push-pull pots, 5 way switches, capacitors, but...

the ingenious thing they have done is create a PCB to mount these things (via ribbon for the 5-way) and put these spring clamps--like you use when breadboarding circuits,--on the PCB, so all you need to do to install new pickups is insert the wires in the spring clamp.

No soldering. Reduces time for swapping out pickups!

So what was my rabbit hole? I figured I could do this too, and for more models of guitars...

So after many, many hours it occured to me, that unless I bought the components and PCBs in bulk (after designing them), there was no way I could do it and be price competiitive.
