A Russian soldier detonated explosives at an officer headquarters and defected to Ukraine as part of a special operation codenamed “Ocheret”, according to Ukraine’s defense intelligence.

Identified by the callsign “Silver,” a Russian drone pilot, had reached out to the “Freedom of Russia” Legion last winter, incensed by the Russian war crimes and other atrocities he witnessed.
