The Underground Railroad to 🇨🇦 still exists.
Harriet Tubman has always been a personal hero to me & in 2015 Dr. J took me to visit her church in Ontario. I’d been working hard behind-the-scenes combatting the online hate against Hillary & was exhausted (hence my grim look). Going here lifted my soul. The monument to her reads:
“AFTER THE PASSING OF THE USA 1850
FUGITIVE SLAVE LAW
SHE SAID.
"I WOULDN'T TRUST
UNCLE SAM WITH
MY PEOPLE NO
LONGER: I BROUGHT THEM ALL CLEAR OFF TO CANADA."”

@JGSchaeffer There are still some tunnels in IL connecting from barn to barn on different farms. Was quite a network. We may soon need to use it again.
