Food for thought:
In 2016 we were not as jaded/angry as we are now. As a nation we would have reacted differently to a candidate for president slept with a porn star while his wife was pregnant and paid her off.
He won by less than 80k votes in a couple swing states. Had he not hidden that story it is likely we would have never had a Trump president. The crime here is a misdemeanor, unless done to cover a crime like election tampering. His 34 felonies were how he stole 2016 election from us.
@TrueBloodNet Would they have still refused if angry about his behavior? I still say its likely he would have lost 2016 had this story come out before election.
@Lucky188 I think that's unknowable since not everyone would have been angry about his behavior. I can't even guess.
@Lucky188 It's more complex than that. In MI, there were a lot of folks who refused to vote. (I blame Hillary's campaign for not making last minute swing throughs in the MW for some of that)
I'd like to think we could have gotten more turnout if this was known, but I feel as if too many folks felt they'd done the heavy lifting for Obama x2 and thought Hillary was a shoe in.
But maybe it would have depressed Republican turnout a touch. IDK
