@Bix Don't forget that he hurt every single taxpayer in New York, and also every Federal taxpayer by defrauding the Government, and not paying his fair share. That made all of US pay more to cover for him not paying his share.

@PoliticalEd @Bix World financial markets flow through NY. This is also why it attracts financial crimes and has developed wide ranging laws to combat it. The ripples of his fraud go way beyond just NY or even US markets. Could also argue that the judge was overly lenient.
