Reminds me a bit of the side effects of a certain cocktail of, um, "experimental" drugs intended to stimulate rapid neural growth.
Ever had every square centimeter of your skin itch like you spent an hour rolling in poison ivy, while also having to deal with weird-and-not-so-wonderful fever-dream cognitive side effects and a bizarre tingly headache? Hell of a bad time, & the half-life is super long so it lasts for days.
But I guess that's why we have drug safety regulators 😂
