When I typed out the word *finished* a memory resurfaced.
In Catholic grade school I had a habit of saying "I'll get it done" or "I'm done with this."
One of the nuns, Sister Mary Sarto always used to tell me.
"Turkeys in the oven get done, people get finished."
It obviously stuck with me. 😂
was that lesson reinforced with a wooden ruler? 📏

My father in law went to a catholic school quite a while back, and at one point when he was getting his knuckles beat with a ruler he told that particular nun to fuck herself and left, never to return. That was in 2nd grade,.
