Tiktok is extremely closely tied to the CCP and Chinese government, and to their surveillance arm. It is an actual problem for regular folks as well. It is also very malware-like, last I heard, and does not respect permissions granted or not granted by mobile users, circumventing protections placed by operating systems, and collects an enormous amount of data.
