We may block out politics, and try to avoid the news, but it will still affect us. How much you want to know about possible impacts is up to you. I avoid all talking heads; even humor doesn't feel right. I choose articles in the Guardian, which for the moment, seems a safe place for news. I also look for Substack newsletters from trusted independents.

There was a time and particular subjects where it might be appropriate to not be into politics, details that only a few select understood. This wasn't that time.
