Doc says I have arthritis and fluid on the right knee. Now it's over to the ortho to discuss treatment options.

@dauphin87 Good luck!! I just had both hips replaced via the new surgery, and, though full recovery takes a long time (like to be able to do yoga, etc.), Iโ€™m so glad I did it!! I had no idea how bad off I was until I had both hips replaced.

@LindaGoodliffe I have a feeling that's not far off for me. Hips bark at me a lot.

@dauphin87 Just find a surgeon who does the new hip surgery, there are more and more of them. Itโ€™s a faster recovery and a more stable joint. Get it over with, if you need it. Itโ€™s such a relief to be able to stand up straight and walk normally again, and my back isnโ€™t yelling at me so much anymore.

@LindaGoodliffe I meant to ask you. You had both hips replaced? Simultaneously or separate surgeries?

@dauphin87 I had the left hip replaced Jan. 10th, 2023, and the right hip replaced Feb. 28th, 2023. I stayed overnight in the hospital both times, and Iโ€™m glad I did. That first night pain can get intense, so donโ€™t let them do outpatient.

@dauphin87 Youโ€™re welcome!! Itโ€™s a scary thing to face joint replacements, I know. I was crushed at first, but now Iโ€™m just disappointed Iโ€™m not the bionic woman. I feel like that should be an option at this point. ๐Ÿ˜‚
