@LiberalLibrarian One can argue that Israel is a settler state imposed on a country without the permission of its inhabitants. But you'd have to say the same of South Africa, Canada, the United States .... And if you argue that Palestinians, like every people, need and deserve a homeland, you can't deny the Jewish people a homeland.
@ImagineThat Fucking exactly this. Are the JVP in Michigan going to leave the US and head back to Europe if Ashkenazi, or Algeria if Mizrahi? And, I'm sorry: Palestinians haven't been subjected to a genocide. Jews have. And the leaders of Levantine Arabs before and during the Second World War allied with Hitler because they, too, wanted to exterminate the Jews.
@ImagineThat And, of course, Jews had been living in the Holy Land continuously, in spite of the best efforts of the Romans and later the Byzantines. It's not like they had been completely eradicated from the area.
