why do we need billionaires? what purpose do they serve? sure, have a few 100 mill. be rich & have more money than you can spend in a lifetime. but there's gotta be a cap.

billionaires are greedy fucks. they're not seeking happiness. they seek to hoard wealth.

until we all rise, they shouldn't have this much power, wealth, & political influence.

I once heard a successful businessman say that wealth, beyond a certain point, is simply a way of keeping score. "I'm richer than you".
But that doesn't take into account the harm done to millions of people stepped on every day in accumulating that wealth, or the disproportionate influence granted to the hyper-rich.

@LiberalLibrarian it took me till i hit 40 where i understood 'enough'.

i'd grown up poor & never wanted to be poor again. so i kept cobbling, kept looking for the next job w/ the $$. i thought i was less than when i made less than the previous job.

then i just got to a place where i had enough. where my kid would never want for food, or a roof over his head, or anything he needed.

& i didn't need anymore 'stuff'.

enough is freeing. & leaves you more time for gratitude.
