Well, that was fun! A little bit of rocka and rolla here in Los Angeleez!
@Helical_Code 4.4, but the epicenter was like 3 miles away from work.
@LiberalLibrarian
Oh my! I hope it wasn't too unnerving.
@Helical_Code Pfft. I'm an Angelino. Unless it's 6 and above, I don't get worried. It was a good jolt, though, due to its proximity.
@LiberalLibrarian
I was in town for the Northridge quake back in 1994, and that knocked a whole bunch of stuff off the shelves while we were sleeping. Even now, I remember it vividly.
@Helical_Code The last one we experienced when we lived in the Yukon was 6.2. It happened early in the morning and it woke both myself and my spouse up. The shaking and rolling was pretty strong. When we realised what it was all I said was oh, it's just an earthquake and we both went back to sleep. lol. @LiberalLibrarian
@Tacitus_Kilgore LOL! Pretty much me and my wife. @Helical_Code
@LiberalLibrarian @Helical_Code Here's the video from one of the local businesses. During my 20 years there we experienced 5 of 6 earthquakes.
@LiberalLibrarian @Helical_Code That should read 5 or 6 not of๐คฆโโ๏ธ
@LiberalLibrarian @Helical_Code Just before every one of the quakes we experienced I always got something close to vertigo just before the shaking started.
@Tacitus_Kilgore
Fascinating!
@Tacitus_Kilgore
Oh man, I can feel that just watching it!
@LiberalLibrarian

@LiberalLibrarian
Eeep! I'm guessing a 3.8 from your description.
