: Just found out on FB that a small handful number of county chairhumans are discussing with the state GOP office the possibility of withdrawing support for Trump/Vance and not participating in the remainder of the campaign for him.
It is hearsay at this point, though it does come from a longtime friend in the party and who's always given the the straight dope on goings-on, since around 1990. His family's old and well-placed in state politics. i.e., old money (pre-Civil War money).
@rpardee @LiberalLibrarian: His folks aren't the ones doing it. His mom and dad and the rest of that crowd don't give a shit who the President is. Nor do they bother acting like Downton Abbey over anyone. Real Old Money doesn't tend to act IRL the way they do in movies and on tv... or in comics. LOL
