Really. Again, I cannot fully express what a wonderful app V-Flat is for your book scanning needs. Completely worth the minimal monthly/yearly price for all it does. I'm returning a $200 overhead scanner to Amazon tomorrow.
@Novels56 That would be it! When it first came out it wasn't ready for primetime. Now? Holy shmokes.
@Novels56 You still have to do post-processing to remove the defects in the scan, but you can do that in the app itself with the "clean up" feature and your finger. And that's always on the edges. You can also rescan if a scan doesn't come out right, and you don't lose that scan's place in the book. The app flattens a curved book page perfectly.
