It's about to go under $108/share in after hours trading. This is simply gobsmacking.
@sentientdessert Wow. It's like DeLorean all over again.
@LiberalLibrarian The people I feel badly for aren't the shareholders. If they'd had two brain cells to rub together, Musk wouldn't be making a vanity bonfire out of their money. They'd have recognized him as an arrogant dip-shit from the get go.
No, the people I feel badly for are the Tesla employees who are eventually going to get fucked over in this. The men and women who will lose jobs, healthcare, and pensions.
Damn Ronald Reagan to hell. Big business needs some restored heavy regulation.
@TwiHusband And of course, many of those employees think they're doing valuable work which will help save the earth. Their boss never did, and abused their idealism.
@LiberalLibrarian Hence the need for a regulatory anvil to be dropped on big business, from Wall Street and Hedge Funds, to manufacturing and right down to the factory floor. Non-union labor needs to be regulated out of existence.
@TwiHusband Union member, here, son of a union member. Once, an old Cuban opined to me that all unions were communist and needed to be done away with. I asked him: So, my mother, who escaped Cuba just like you, is a communist? He never brought that up again.
@LiberalLibrarian I'm hoenstly surprised this hasn't happened sooner... people just wanted to remain blind to all the bullshit he was talking. All the unfulfilled promises, and the fact that many of the newer vehicles feel like alpha or beta releases instead of finished products...
When you put someone unqulaified in charge of a company...
