@LiberalLibrarian gosh I saw this show up in the firehose when I was at work and my heart sank. I get sometimes it’s frustrating to see stuff like that but.. people are just enjoying themselves.
@triforce I just saw the screencap by Stuey. I mean, I could go back half an hour, but why?
@LiberalLibrarian oh yeah for sure. not worth your time.
@LiberalLibrarian Glad I missed this. Especially since I just posted my movie list. 😅
@LiberalLibrarian I actually wanted to make a curated list specifically for them, but decided they weren't worth the effort.
@AbelUndercity When I went to block, I saw they hadn't posted anything since then.
@AbelUndercity Will probably go back to Twitter and say how mean we are.
@LiberalLibrarian Good thing there are screencaps
@LiberalLibrarian My list would have been 7 songs specifically for them: Lesley Gore's "You Don't Own Me," CeeLo Green's "Fuck You," etc.
Fuck, maybe I should have made the effort after all.
@AbelUndercity *gigglesnort*
The #Twitter I came from was hyper-focused on #politics and primarily bashing the #GOP.
This kind of thing never popped up. I saw it today and found it to be a most delightful distraction. I couldn’t wait to participate.
And that’s the thing, isn’t it? #CoSo isn’t about just ONE thing. I have yet to feel pigeonholed or stuck in any sort of rut. It’s REFRESHING.
I wouldn’t go back to that Hellscape if Elongated Muckraker paid *me*.
@MarshScarecrow Quite so.
@MarshScarecrow And yes, I got on Twitter in 2012 for PBO's re-election, and it's been 90% politics. By the end it drained me. I was already pulling away last year.
I finally walked away a couple of months ago, and couldn’t make myself re-engage no matter how much I tried. It became exhausting. I was about to wash my hands of this type of thing for good but thankfully found #CoSo. This is a utopian oasis by comparison.
@MarshScarecrow I've made my account private, and only use it for DMs with a couple of people.
I dumped mine altogether almost 10 years to the day I created it (I think it was 10 years and a day, maybe two) and have no regrets.
@MarshScarecrow @LiberalLibrarian I'm missing it in a way, because of the community on there of people who shared my hobby.
Hopefully, over time, more will come here & we can build a new one here.
@LiberalLibrarian After paying $44Bn for it, I don't think they actually left 🙄
