This little guy arrived today. I paid $15 and I'm glad to have him. His doors don't stay open and he's too wobbly to be a good racer, but he's a placeholder until I get rich. I really like this model, a vintage redline from the early 70s, but well-preserved specimens sell for upwards of $200. Sell, mind you, in bidding wars. That's a lot of gas stations to knock over to pay for a hobby.

Some genius in my neighborhood kept his Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars in a tackle box, so eventually we all did. I still have mine. All of them. It’s a reasonably modest collection, but I love it. 👍🏻
